WHEREAS: Warren E. Jensen was a dedicated citizen volunteer for public health in his community, state and nation
WHEREAS: Because of Warren’s dedication and commitment to public health, he demonstrated the importance of citizen involvement in strengthening public health services
WHEREAS: His leadership and guidance was invaluable in the formation of the Utah Association of Boards of Health and the National Association of Local Boards of Health
WHERESAS: Warren served as a valuable member of the steering committee, which formed NALBOH providing guidance in the development of by-laws and incorporation
WHEREAS: At the organizational meeting for NALBOH in 1992, he was elected as a State Trustee to be the first NALBOH Board. Later, because of his dynamic leadership, he was elected to serve as NALBOH’S third President in 1996
WHEREAS: During the presidency of Warren Jensen, NALBOH’S role as partner with other national public health organizations was recognized
WHEREAS: Following Warren’s tenure on the NALBOH Board he continued to provide his valuable counsel by serving as an Emeritus member on many NALBOH Committees and participating in NALBOH annual conferences.
NOW< THEREFORE: The NALBOH Board of Directors representing all past NALBOH board members and the nations local boards of health hereby: On this date of November 30, 2007 officially recognizes and honors the invaluable services that citizen WARREN EDGAR JENSEN provided to his community, state and nation in strengthening the delivery of stronger and better public health services
FURTHER: We express our appreciation to Verla and the entire Jensen family for their support of Warren as he ensured that the voice of a citizen in our public health is heard.
